Enterprise CRM Solution
Our client requires a Customer Relationship Management solution that is scalable to the needs of the organisation. The business has grown rapidly and single-user systems that were being used have been outgrown by turnover growth.
We offered a extended consultation during which we listened to the management of the organisation about the needs of the company. By witnessing the processes which were currently being undertaken first-hand, we were able to return to our office and compile a consultation report for the client to keep for future reference.
Our recommendation was that the client deploy customised software without restrictive proprietary licensing and without expensive custom software development costs. The recommendations and tender specification could then be taken to any third party for quotation. The client shortly after contracted an ERP CRM solution that met our specification precisely.
Small Business 15-User Windows-to-Linux Migration
The client operates a 15-user network. These systems have various requirements including office document processing, industry-specific applications, specific printing and scanning requirements. The file storage on the network was decentralised and there was no redundancy built into the network. Hardware failure data loss was only mitigated by single manual backups. The existing system was prone to viruses and resources on the client systems were being used to protect them from compromise, reducing efficiency and requiring more frequent hardware update. system instability also caused productivity loss.
Following a short consultation, we provided a report that recommends several changes, including operating system change (migration from Windows to Linux while still allowing rollback to the previous OS at any time), virtualisation (to run Windows-only applications) and built-in redundancy at the hardware level. Every industry-specific application requirement was catered for and a more efficient system, due to the security advantages, was realised a with less frequent requirement for hardware upgrade by following our recommendations.
